Linda Jeanette Porter, age 63, of State Highway 955, Olive Hill, passed away peacefully Friday, February 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 2, 1962, in Ashland, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Faye Porter of Olive Hill and the late Hubert "Duke" Porter. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Dee "J.D." Mabry, on April 18, 2010, and one brother, Michael Porter.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by her two loving sons, Derek Whisman (Kaneatha) of Jeffersonville and Andrew James "A.J." Porter of Olive Hill; and her cherished eleven grandchildren, Landon Whisman, Jazzalynn Whisman, Alissa Whisman, Cora Whisman, Gracie Whisman, Kammie Whisman, Karter Whisman, Kassie Stacy, Katrina Stacy, Emma Whisman, and Shelton Whisman.

Also surviving are one brother, Lowell Porter of Morehead; one sister, Brenda Porter Holbrook of Olive Hill; several nieces and nephews; and many extended relatives and friends.

Linda was a devoted homemaker and caregiver for many years. She was of the Christian faith and loved going to church, helping others, and serving Jesus. She enjoyed watching television, coloring, and especially spending time with and caring for her grandchildren. She was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jason Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Porter Cemetery on Henderson Ridge, Olive Hill.

Pallbearers will be Landon Whisman, Myran Thornsberry, Frankie Thornsberry, Karter Whisman, Charles Buckler, and A.J. Porter. Honorary pallbearers will be Shelton Whisman and Spencer McCarty.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
