Obituary

Linda Dare Ginter Alfrey, age 76, of Derby Drive, Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester.

Born April 2, 1945, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Anna Ray Ginter.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Alfrey; a son, Aaron "Peanut" Alfrey; a daughter-in-law, Regina Alfrey; three brothers, Ronnie Ginter, Bobby Ginter, and Kenneth Ginter; and five sisters, Margaret Robbins, Louise Cockrell, Virginia Bolen, Beulah Thomas, and Hildred Haney.

Mrs. Alfrey is survived by three sons, Rick Alfrey, Donnie (Billie Ann) Alfrey, and Tim (Tina) Alfrey; two daughters, Debbie Alfrey and Mary (Tony) Blevins, all of Mt. Sterling;  17 grandchildren, Linda (Brad) Mitchell, Nicki Alfrey, Talisha Alfrey, Kimberly (JD) Hudson, Dakota (Baylee) Blevins, Lindsey (Trevor) Hiler, Tracey (Jeremy) Payton, Leon (Chasity) Jarman, Sierra Alfrey, Jeremy Coldiron, Jordon Kelly, Allison Kelly, Glenna Alfrey, Carson Blevins, Skyler Blevins, Johnny Coldiron, and Jimmy Coldiron; and 18 great grandchildren, Aaron and Gina Carmichael, Elliot and Sawyer Hudson, Carter and Brooklyn Blevins, Lily and Dalton Moyers, Cameron, Bella, and Carsen Jarman, Haley Sherlin, Morgan Vice, Rhaeleigh Cook, Lincoln and Landyn Kelly, and Linville and James Smith.

Also surviving are four sisters, Nancy Welch and Jane Prather, both of Mt. Sterling, Ruthie Smith of Lexington, and Mary Warren of Ohio; a special niece, Ronnetta Manning; several nieces and nephews; as well as many loving extended family members and friends.

She retired from Lion Apparel in Mt. Sterling and was a member of the First Church of God. Mrs. Alfrey adored her children and grandchildren and loved them with all of her heart.  She will be greatly missed and always remembered with love.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Rolling Hills Church of Christ, 125 Rolling Hills Dr., Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 with Jeff Perkins and Danny Murphy officiating.  Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Rolling Hills Church of Christ, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
