Linda Kaye Elkins May, age 68, of May Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born October 17, 1941, in Logan County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Leonard and Nina Eden Elkins. Linda is survived by her husband, John Wylie May, whom she married January 26, 1982; one daughter, Kathi Walters of Hamilton, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Connie Duncan of Muncie, Indiana, and Yolanda Nance of Lakeland, Florida; and one stepson, John May II of Morehead, Kentucky. Also surviving are three brothers, Danny Elkins of Greenwood, Indiana, Claude Elkins of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Brook Elkins of Portage, Indiana; three sisters, Glenna Lunsford and Deanna Howard, both of Morehead, Kentucky, and Susann Potts of Orlando, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Wayne Herron of Morehead, Kentucky. Linda was a machine operator at the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, for ten years, a home caregiver for Ball Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, and a homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the May Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Brumley, Dewayne May, James May, Roger Utterback, George Freeman, Jeff Parker, Linton Parker, Dennis Wilson, John May II, and Kenneth Lunsford. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
