Obituary

Linda Trent Conley, age 65, of Lexington, went to Heaven on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Baptist Health in Lexington. She was born December 30, 1950, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Wyatt and Myrtle Caudill Trent. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Ann Trent and Ina Chloe Roe. Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, John R. Conley; one daughter, Tonja Renae Conley Elrod and husband Christian of Lexington; one grandson, Adam Christian Elrod of Lexington; two brothers, Roger Trent of Morehead and Ronnie Trent of Ypsilanti, Michigan; two sisters, Barbara Sue Trent and Carolyn Barnett of Morehead; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Linda graduated from Rowan County High School in 1968; worked as an office manager in GTE corporate offices in Dallas, Texas, was a volunteer at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, an avid U.K. fan, and a full time 'Grammy.' She was a member of Harmony Christian Church in Georgetown. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Dean Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Christian Elrod, Roger Trent, Ronnie Trent, Randy Roe, Rob Hanson, and R. L. Trent. Visitation is 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
