Obituary

Linda Gail Butler McKinney, age 49, of T McKinney Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Born September 12, 1971, in Sandy Hook, she is the daughter of the late Carl Everett "Biggs" Butler and Glenna Kay Reynolds Butler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Rowe.

Linda is survived by her husband, Terry McKinney, whom she married September 12, 1987; one son, Ricky McKinney (Jamie Johnson) of Morehead;  two godsons, Briar Butler and Kaysen Butler of Morehead; two daughters, Janessa Staton (Brent) of Morehead and Beulah Begly (David) of Columbus, Ohio; two goddaughters, Lorielle Butler of Morehead and Brandy Rowe of Lexington; one sister, Melissa Butler (Jackie Smith) of Morehead; five brothers, Jeffrey Butler (Donna) of Olive Hill, Frankie Butler (Jill) of Morehead, Allen Butler (Cindy Sargent) of Morehead, Daniel Butler (Shawna) of Clay City, and Brian Butler of Morehead; and eight grandchildren, Caden Begly, Micah Begly, Tiffany Ison, Jaxon Begly, Adriana Staton, Abagail Staton, Hope Pernell, and Haley Rowe.

Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Linda was a homemaker and took great pride in raising foster children for several years.  She enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading, camping, and spending time with family.  Linda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Robert Kidd and Brother Phillip Roe officiating.  The funeral service will be livestreamed on Northcutt & Son Facebook page beginning at 3 p.m.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Linda's brothers and Brent Staton and Bert McKinney will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

The family requests everyone attending wear masks.  COVID-19 regulations including wearing masks and social distancing will be observed.
