Lillie Mae McBrayer Catron, age 81, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehab in Owingsville, where she resided the past several months. Born June 25, 1935, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Viola Pettit McBrayer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Louise Meyer. Her husband, Bennie F. Catron, whom she wed August 21, 1954, passed away October 31, 2005. Lillie is survived by one daughter, Marilyn June Catron of Olive Hill; one brother, Donald J. McBrayer and his wife Vickie of Morehead; three sisters, Christine Trent Kiser of Morehead, Pearl Green of Richmond, Indiana, and Ruth Ann Anderson of Anderson, Indiana; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. A loving and devoted wife and mother, Lillie enjoyed her home, the great outdoors, cooking, and singing. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willie Sturgill officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
