Obituary

Lillian Elizabeth Sulia Blevins, age 92, of Horizon Village, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at UK – Kings Daughter's Medical Center in Ashland.

Born December 14, 1933, in New York City, New York, and was a daughter of the late Albert Sulia and Julia Way Sulia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Blevins; two brothers, Charles Bruley and Albert Sulia; and a sister, Cora Martin.

Lillian is survived by one brother, Robert "Bobby" Sulia of Ewing, New Jersey; three sisters, Julia Jane Sulia Hubbard of Aloha, Oregon, Theresa Monty of Vermont, and Dorothy Daniel of Boise, Idaho; and two step children, Ricky Blevins (Cheri) of Grahn and Sherry Phillips (Owen) of Grayson. Other survivors include a step granddaughter, Brandie Kinney; four step great grandchildren, Kaylee, Tanner, Lila, and Caroline; special friends, Kathy Fraley and Audrey and Nick Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her family at Horizon Village.

She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Lillian found happiness in the little things that made life special. She enjoyed working word search puzzles, shopping for purses and clothes, attending activities, and spending time with her many friends at Horizon Village. Her love for ice cream and Moon Pies brought smiles to those around her, but perhaps nothing brought her more joy than Christmas. The holiday season held a special place in her heart, and her collection of Christmas sweaters—one for every day in December—became a cherished reflection of her festive spirit and love for celebrating. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
