Lillian Simms Caudill, age 77, of Big Woods Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born January 16, 1945, in Rectorville, Kentucky, to the late Orville Simms and Nellie Pollitt. Simms.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Curt Earl Caudill, on November 15, 2009; one brother, Carl Simms; and three sisters, Edna Mae Simms, Clara Raatz, and Vivian Landreth.

Lillian is survived by one son, Wesley Caudill of Hillsboro; one daughter, Jennifer Jourdan and husband Jesse of Southgate, Michigan; two granddaughters, Stephanie Richards and husband Justin and Danielle Pownall and husband Matt; and her companion, Earnest Wilson of Morehead.

She is also survived by four brothers, Orville Simms, Jr. and wife Pamela of Fullerton, California, Art Simms of Kissimmee, Florida, Don Simms and wife Penny of Kokomo, Indiana, and Thomas Simms of Salina, Oklahoma; three sisters, Kay Hesterhagn and husband Bill of Sarasota, Florida, Rene Strawmeier and husband Gene of Lebanon, Indiana, and Mildred Giesecke and husband Fred of Kokomo, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; as well as other family and friends.

Lillian returned to Morehead in 1995 after retiring from the Life Care Nursing Home in Riverview, Michigan. She graduated from Mason County High School and was a member of the Bluebank Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cranston Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
