Lillian L. Black Kidd, age 94 ½, of Weaver Ridge, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born December 24, 1922, in Morehead, a daughter of the late Mitchell and Lissie Howard Black. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Barbara Jones, Clona Flannery, Traxie Calim, Hazel Kidd, and Eula Mae Flannery; eight brothers, Roy, Ernest, Lemuel, Berlin, Claude, Edgar, Ottis, and Alfred Black. Mrs. Kidd was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Berry Kidd on January 30, 2002; two daughters, Irene Kidd Lewis on November 11, 1997, and Ivory Kidd Wright on April 22, 2015; one son, Troy Kidd on February 1, 2014; one granddaughter, Bonnie Moss; one great grandson, Mark Kidd; two sons-in-law, Herbert Ray Lewis and Curtis Gibson. She is survived by three children, Eulah Gray and husband James, Avanell Gibson, and Berry Kidd, Jr. and wife Nora, all of Morehead; daughter-in-law, Kathy Kidd, of Morehead; son-in-law, Charles Wright of Benton, Arkansas ; 17 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren; and her special little granddog, Lilly. Mrs. Kidd was a homemaker and a devoted Christian for 70 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with grandsons Brother Herbert D. Lewis and Brother Ashley Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Kidd Family Cemetery at Blairs Mill. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
