Leslie Joell Cummins Blevins, age 31, of Riddle Fork, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010, at her residence. Born May 22, 1979, at Ft. Hood in Killeen, Texas, she is the daughter of Art Cummins of Morehead, Kentucky, and Donna Toller Cummins of Lexington, Kentucky. Leslie is also survived by her husband, Timothy James -T. J.- Blevins, and their two children, James Whiley Blevins and Bailey Jane Blevins. Other survivors include one brother, James Michael Lee Cummins of Lexington, Kentucky; one sister, Jennifer Cummins Lewis and husband Ryan of Lexington, Kentucky; grandmother, Dorothy McCleese of Vanceburg, Kentucky; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family members and friends. Leslie graduated from Rowan County Senior High where she was a drum major with the band. She received her bachelor-s and master-s degrees from Morehead State University with a major in education and a minor in French. One of the highlights of her educational experience was studying abroad in France. Leslie was a second grade teacher at Olive Hill Elementary. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Drew McNeill officiating. Burial will follow at the Adams Cemetery on Riddle Fork. Pallbearers will be Michael Cummins, Dustin Cummins, Derrick Helphenstine, Toby Blevins, Darren Blevins, Waylon Brown, Jason Stone, and Donald Pettit.
