Lenola Brown Gregory, age 89, of KY Hwy. 519, Morehead, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at her residence. She was born April 10, 1919, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Jeff and Laura Sweeney Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Cecil Gregory on February 18, 1984; her second husband, Jessie Andrew Gregory on February 15, 2004; four sons, Earl, Harlan, Gary and Ronnie Gregory; one daughter, Marie Pettit; two brothers, Hollie and Opal Brown; and one sister, Verna Gambill. Mrs. Gregory is survived by three daughters, Dora Haney, wife of the late Elmo Haney, of Elliottville, Kentucky, Janice Wells of Morehead, Kentucky, Janette McKinney and husband Flavis of Morehead, Kentucky; one son, Kenneth Gregory and wife Linda of Grayson, Kentucky; three sisters, Corda Foster and Sylvia Gregory, both of Morehead, Kentucky, and Bernice Law of Portsmouth, Ohio; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Gregory was a devoted homemaker who loved preparing meals for her family and friends. She also enjoyed quilting, canning, sewing, crocheting, and embroidering. She was a member of the Church of God. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Willis Adkins and the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Waddell, Christopher Wells, Nathan Williams, Michael Gregory, Tony Pettit, Joshua Gregory, and Bert McKinney.
