Lee Dale Salmons, age 66, of Pine Ridge Drive, Morehead, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Lee Dale was born April 28, 1952, in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of the late Boone and Winona Adkins Salmons. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Chris Andrea Salmons; one brother Luther James "L.J." Salmons; and one sister, Carolyn Trent. He had been an employee for A & A swimming pools for 39 years helping people in Rowan and surrounding counties with installation of pools and yearly maintenance. In his spare time he enjoyed doing side jobs, pouring concrete, and mechanic work. He also loved fishing and deer hunting. Lee Dale is survived by his daughter, Jessica Grella of Greer, South Carolina; two brothers, Boone Salmons of Wallingford and Robert (Bob) Salmons of Morehead; one sister, Hattie Utterback of Morehead; two granddaughters, Kennedy and Katherine Grella; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson-Epperhart Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
