Obituary

Lawrence Earl Shephard, age 77, of Morehead, Kentucky, a Massachusetts native, passed away August 3, 2024, at his home.

He was born February 27, 1947, in North Adams, Massachusetts, a son of the late George and Virginia Elmer Shephard.

Larry is survived by his brother, Ronald Shephard and wife Doreen, and his sister, Nancy Shephard, all of Morehead, Kentucky, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, Becky Lee Sheppard, and infant Linda Shephard, preceded him in death

Larry served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Granby (Connecticut) Public School System.

He was a loving, kind and generous man who was willing to help out anyone in need, in any way that he could. A collector of a variety of things the more unique the better, he enjoyed life in his own way. He had an interest in several genres of literature and music and enjoyed reading and listening to music the most. While we will miss him here on earth, we know that he is happy to be reunited with several members of our family in heaven and to meet our Lord Jesus Christ! A great believer in prayer, one can be assured that if he knew you, he was praying for you and for many others he never met but whose name may have caught his eye while he was reading one of his many magazine subscriptions. His prayer list was massive! We look forward to seeing him and the rest of the family some day in heaven, we hope to see y'all there as well and for those who didn't know him personally, ask for him when you get there, he'll be sitting on a bench watching the dinosaurs!

At Larry's request, no services are planned.
