Larry David Beckman, Sr., age 79, of Williams Branch, Morehead, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born June 7, 1937, in Clintonville, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Sylvester J. and Elizabeth Anderson Beckman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ingrid H. Oldenburg Beckman; four sons, Edward Sylvester (Deborah I.) Beckman of Sweetwater, Tennessee, Larry D. Beckman, Jr., of Morehead, Billy Joe (Juanita Bussell) Beckman of Morehead, and Michael G. (Janet Sloan) Beckman of Morehead; one daughter, Susan K. (James T.) Williams of Boise, Idaho; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Judy Smith of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and Ginny Ferrari of Chicago, Illinois. Larry served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sergeant and was a former project manager for E. G. and G. He was known as an excellent chef and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and loved spoiling the grandchildren. At his request, there will be no service or visitation.
