Luther James -L. J.- Salmons, age 52, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Morehead, KY, passed away Monday, August 10, 2009, at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, FL. He was born September 18, 1956, in Wayne County, West Virginia, son of the late Winona Virginia Adkins. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Louise Trent. L. J.-s family includes three brothers, Boone Salmons of Wallingford, KY, Robert Matthew (Bob) Salmons of Morehead, KY, Lee Dale Salmons of Lewis County, KY; one sister, Hattie Utterback of Morehead, KY and several nieces and nephews. Other survivors include his wife Marie, eight children, and several grandchildren. L. J. was formerly a self-employed mechanic and auto body repairman. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Epperhart Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, August 22, 2009, after 10 a.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
