Kirby Gene Wilson, age 62, of Woodhill Drive, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at his residence. Born April 26, 1953, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late John Paul and Christine Harris Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Debbie Ann Wilson Slone, and one brother, James Everett 'Jimmy' Wilson. Kirby is survived by his wife, Melissa Henderson Wilson; three sons, Shawn Wilson and Jeffrey and Tiffany Wilson, all of South Charleston, Ohio, and John Austin Wilson of Morehead; one daughter, Renee and Bart Overfield of Cable, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers, Pastor Donnie Wilson of Mansfield, Ohio, Roy Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Denny Wilson and Johnny Wilson, both of Morehead, Wayne Wilson of Florence, and Herbie Wilson of Flemingsburg; one sister, Nina Workman of Morehead; one half-brother, Jeff Conley of Morehead; three half-sisters, Marlena, Mary, and Crystal Wilson, all of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews; extended family; and many friends. Kirby was a self-employed builder, carpenter, and heavy equipment operator. He was known as a friendly, hard-working person with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed motorcycling and being with family, especially his children, his grandchildren, and his dog, Bear-Bear. Enjoying music at the Wilson family get-togethers was a lifelong passion for Kirby. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Donnie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Shawn Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Austin Wilson, Wayne Wilson, Johnny Wilson, and Bart Overfield.
