Kirby Dale Keeton, 67, of Heritage Place, Morehead, passed away Thursday, October 19, at St. Claire Medical Center. Born May 12, 1950, in Pikeville, he was a son of the late Buford Keeton and Marlene Bartley Keeton Sanders. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Keith Sanders and Wayne Sanders. He is survived by his daughter, Shaunna Mellons of Johnson City, TN; two sons, Duffy Scott Keeton and Traci of Dothan, AL, and Kirby Dale Keeton, II and Katie of Montpelier, VT; three sisters, Sandra Keeton of Nicholasville, Jeanne Sanders of Florida, and Tammy McClain of McMinnville, TN; and seven grandchildren. Kirby was a U.S. Army Veteran and former coal miner and roof bolter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 1 p.m. Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals in Morehead is caring for arrangements.
