Kevin Guy Sorrell, age 44, of Cartwright Drive, Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013, in St. Joseph Mt. Sterling following an extended illness. Kevin was born February 4, 1969, in Montgomery County, a son of Jackie Donald Sorrell and Hazel Ruth Donaldson Sorrell, both of Mt. Sterling. In addition to his mother and father, Kevin is survived by his wife, Jennifer R. Jones Sorrrell, whom he wed April 25, 2009, following 18 years of companionship; one daughter, Jordyn Kay Sorrell of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Gary Alan Sorrell and wife Brenda of Jeffersonville and Jackie Glen Sorrell and wife Lisa of Morehead; two sisters, Lisa Gay Rogers and husband Earl III of Owingsville and twin sister Karen Gail Ratliff and husband Bobby of Owingsville. Other survivors include a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; special mother-in-law, Lydia Everman; extended family members and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by two brothers, Gregory Douglas Sorrell and Geoffrey Pierce Sorrell and maternal grandparents, Pierce and Flora Tipton Donaldson.. Also Stubby, his English Bulldog and special companion, died unexpectedly the same day as Kevin. Kevin was a warrior having battled Addison's disease and diabetes since 1995. He was a former heavy equipment operator, an avid NASCAR fan, and U.K. Wildcats basketball fan. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and was the owner of several Harleys. Kevin also enjoyed boating and spending time with family and friends. He attended the Jeffersonville Assembly of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2013, at the Jeffersonville Assembly of God with Pastor Robbie Conn, Rev. Lowell Rice, and Brother Wendell Clevinger officiating. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Pallbearers: Craig Collins, Chris Clevinger, Greg Tipton, Trey Ratliff, Chris Maloney, Ward Wells, Jason Wells, Steve Willoughby.
