Kermit Lee Burrows, age 71, of Lewisburg, OH, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, OH. Born on August 22, 1939, in Morehead, KY, he was the son of the late Gerald J. & Mary Alice Cassity Burrows. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Fredrick Gerald Burrows in 1991, and Warren Edward Burrows in 1957, and one sister, Norma Jean Curtis in 2006. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Charlotte L. (Smith) Burrows; children: Joy Annette 'Jody' (Steve) Price, Cincinnati, OH, Lisa Ialene (Tony) Wallace, Clearfield, KY, Gerald James (Velvet) Burrows, Clarksville, OH; step children: Deborah Lynn (Steve) Adams, Lewisburg, OH, and Walter K. (Angela) Nickell, Celina, OH; sisters: Fredia (Charlie) Dear, Melbourne, FL, Patricia Jo (Arnold) Hogge, West Union, OH; brother: James Russell Burrows, Springfield, OH; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Kermit retired in 2001 from Operating Engineers Local #18 in Dayton and was a Harrison Twp. farmer for over 25 years. He was a member of Community Christian Church in West Alexandria, OH, and Masonic Lodge #0323 F & A.M. in Clarksville, OH. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Community Christian Church, 11 Dorsey Akers Drive, West Alexandria, OH with Pastor Doug Bottles officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, November 12, 2010 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Masonic Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Doug Bottles officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 12 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
