Obituary

Rev. James Kenneth Hamilton, age 66, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at King-s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Born September 11, 1943, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Trace Brooks and Irnea Fraley Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Linda Adkins Hamilton, one son, Tracy Hamilton and wife Connie of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters, Rossaline Deheart and Kimberly Hamilton, both of Morehead, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Milton Hamilton and Vernon Hamilton, both of Morehead, Kentucky; three sisters, Barbara Lawhorn, Mildred Parker, and Helen Tanner,all of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Dennis L. Adkins of Grayson, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews. Rev. Hamilton was an evangelist and minister for 39 years, serving the Soldier Wesleyan Church for 14 years, and a lumber inspector. He enjoyed attending church and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joe Williams, Rev. Randy Binion, and Rev. Charles Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Barton, Tommy Masters,Churck William, Bill Howell, Joe Davis, John Hanna, Hoppy Himes, and Harold Cunningham. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Friday, November 6, 2009, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, November 7, 2009, at 1 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
