Kenney Ray Tackett, 59, of Dunkirk, IN, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013, while in the company of family members at his residence Kenney was born in Olive Hill, KY on December 22, 1953, a son of the late Dorothy (Williams) and Kenneth Tackett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Tammy Renee Tackett, in 1978, and one sister, Virgie Pettit, in 2005. Kenney is survived by his wife, Debbie Arlene (McDaniel) Tackett; one daughter, Jennifer Ann Tackett of Dunkirk, IN; one son, Kenney Ray Tackett Jr. of Deerfield, IN; and one special granddaughter, Savannah Hudson of Anderson, IN. Other survivors include one sister, Connie Pettit and husband Gary of Farmers, KY; three brothers, James Tackett and wife Alline of Pleasant City, OH; Bobby Tackett and wife Diane of Farmers, KY; and Arlin Tackett and wife Diane of Cleveland, OH. Kenney graduated from Olive Hill High School in 1971. He was a fork lift mechanic at Tynan Equipment in Indianapolis, IN and previously worked for more than 25 years as a fork lift mechanic at Indiana Glass of Dunkirk. He was a former Vice President of Crown City Cruisers Car Club (owner of a 1969 Red Pontiac Firebird), a former board member of Frank Merry Memorial Park, coached little league, and loved fishing, the Cincinnati Reds and the Kentucky Wildcats. Kenney attended Church of the Living God in Dunkirk, IN. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Eugene Tackett, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
