Kenneth Merle Law, age 84, of US 60 East, Morehead, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born January 5, 1929, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late William and Viola Blankenbeckly Law. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Gregory Law, on May 12, 1991; one daughter, Donna Kay Law Basford, in 2007; one grandson, Jackie Ray Basford, in 1972; and four brothers, Leslie, Donald, Jim, and John Law. He is survived by his wife, Feby Mays Riddle Law; one son, Larry (Debbie) Law of Morehead; one daughter, Teresa (Jimmy) Riddle of Morehead; three stepsons, Walt (Trish) Riddle and Cecil (Jannie) Riddle of Morehead, and Jeff Riddle of Grayson; three stepdaughters, Della (Tim) Thornsberry of Elliott County, Cheryl Kelsey and Flory (Stacy) Adkins of Morehead; one brother, Delmar Law of Spring Hill, Tennessee; two sisters, Ruth Bowling of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Phyllis Rich of Louisville; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a host of step grandchildren; extended family members and friends. Mr. Law served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a carpenter and former employee of Johnson Dairy. He enjoyed woodworking, listening to music, and was a member of the Holly Fork Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Memorial Chapel with Brother Jim Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Adam Robinson, Derek Law, David Riddle, Paul Basford, Derek Monroe, Eric Monroe, and Junior Conn.
