Kenneth Vernon Donahue, age 69, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015, at his home. Born November 23, 1945, in Menifee County, he was a son of the late Daniel Boone and Edna Belle Johnson Donahue. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Donahue, Bill Donahue, and Elwood Donahue, and one sister, Marilyn Joyce Donahue Russell. Kenny is survived by two sons, Danny Donahue and Daryl Donahue, both of Crawfordsville, Indiana; three grandsons, Jason, Austin, and Caleb; one granddaughter, Jorden; and a great granddaughter, expected this coming Wednesday; one brother, Wayne Donahue of Salt Lick; two sisters, Rose Adkins of Morehead, and Irene Donahue Roberts of Salt Lick; several nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will follow at the Jones Cemetery in Midland with full military honors presented by Morehead American Legion Post 126. Kenny was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Purple Heart recipient and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle). Kenny loved cars and his Shih Tzu named 'Boss.' Pallbearers: Danny, Daryl, Jason, Austin, Caleb, and Wayne Donahue. Visitation is 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Claire Hospice, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351 Visitation: Sunday, February 15, 2015, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral: Monday, February 16, 2015, at 1 p.m. Interment: Jones Cemetery, Midland, Kentucky
