Kathy Lynn Scott Besselman, age 60, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at her home, peacefully and surrounded by family.

Born on March 15, 1960, in Newport, she was born to Robert and Angie Scott.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Scott Roeller.

She is survived by her beloved children BJ (Leslie) Besselman of Hebron, Michael Besselman of Morehead, Scott (Kelli) Besselman of Morehead, and Nikki (Eric) Besselman also of Morehead.  Also surviving are her grandchildren, her pride and joy, Elizabeth, Robbie, Wesley, Asher, Adin, and Preston.

She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Scott (Mareka) of Brooksville and Casey (Jodie) Scott of Maysville and several nieces and a nephew.

Kathy fought a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis but never let that get in her way.  She fought hard and was determined to do anything she set her mind to.  She fulfilled her lifelong dream of being a mother, including to numerous neighborhood kids who referred to her as their second mom.  Her favorite things to do included spending time with her family, either cooking for them or just visiting, watching reruns and movies on television while enjoying her favorite candies, and going on walks enjoying the nature around her, both walking while she could, then later rolling through the leaves.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
