Kathy Marie Richmond Curtis, age 50, of Big Brushy Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at her residence. Born January 1, 1966, in Flemingsburg, she was a daughter of the late Avery and Sharon Gilvin Curtis. Kathy was raised by adoptive parents, Louise Richmond of Pea Ridge and the late Benny Richmond. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Letha Plank, and one brother, Gib Williams. In addition to her adoptive mother, Kathy is survived by her husband, William E. 'Billy' Curtis; one daughter, Holly Crouch of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Joey Plank of Hillsboro and Michael Plank of Byron, Georgia; and five grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Mark Williams of Maxey Flat and Martin Richmond of Maysville; three sisters, Angie Williams of Goddard, Loretta Justice of Morehead, and Sara Richmond of Wallingford; three step children, Melissa Curtis, Charles Curtis, and Joseph Curtis, all of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and enjoyed singing, listening to music, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016, at the McGuire Cemetery on Big Brushy with Tony Glover and Keith McGuire officiating. Pallbearers: Joey Plank, Michael Plank, Travis Plank, Joseph Curtis, Charles Curtis, and David Crouch.
