Kathleen (Kathy) Mills Murphy, age 64, of Hope Hill Road, Flemingsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Morehead, passed away Monday, June 18, 2007, at the Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg. Born December 29, 1942, in Lansing, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Otus Eugene Mills and Winifred (Winnie) Gorton Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenny Lietzke and Russell Mills. Survivors include one son, Jerett Gieseler of New York City; three daughters, Jennifer Duke of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Melody Robach of Jenison, Michigan, and Michele Hoffman of Nashville, Michigan; two sisters, Barbara White and Sally Dodson, both of Morehead, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Hoffman, Brandon Hoffman, Tyler Robach, Haley Robach, Sally Robach, Matt Brumm, Scott Duke, and Amanda Duke; one great-grandchild, Mykaela Scurlock; and a special friend, Milton Hamilton. Kathy was an employee of Harold White Lumber Company for 24 years, was a board member of the Morehead 4-H Council for a number of years, and was a graduate of a cosmetology school in Battle Creek, Michigan. She served as pianist at the Flemingsburg First Church of God. Private graveside services will be conducted at the Bosworth Cemetery in Olivet, Michigan.
