Katherine Kirk Riley, age 98, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010, at the Fleming County Hospital. Born December 10, 1911, in Fleming County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Effie Conway Kirk. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Riley; a son, James F. -Jim- Riley; and a brother, Glen Kirk. She is survived by one granddaughter, Debra Williams of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; one great granddaughter, Shelli Rigsby of Evansville, Indiana; and one great-great grandson, Landen Rigsby-Treece of Evansville, Indiana. Mrs. Riley was a homemaker and a member of the Hillsboro Methodist Church for 87 years. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Dr. David Barnett officiating; burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bill Conway, Vernon Walker, Gary Jolly, Maurice Colgan, Stevie Call, and Adam Butcher. Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Glenn Womack, Katie Jolly, and Roy Wayne Sorrell.
