Katherine Ann McDaniel Harden, 68, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, and was born in Belleville, Michigan on July 24, 1955.

She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the strongest person we knew. She taught us to fight for what matters the most. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her parents Raymond & Mary McDaniel of Morehead, Kentucky; five children, Jason (Tabitha) Harden, Derrick (Ashley) Harden, Brent (Kaitlin) Harden, Lindsay (Jonathan Bartlett) and La'nise Harden; two brothers, Gary (Joan) McDaniel and Timothy (Kim) McDaniel; one sister, Carrie McDaniel; her former husband, Tim Harden; twelve grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Arnold McDaniel, grandfather.

A celebration of life will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel in Morehead, Kentucky, with Pastor Joey Damron officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Sarah Cannon Cancer Center.
