Katherine "Kathy" Louise Ross Kidd, age 75, of Weaver Ridge Road, Morehead, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Born June 8, 1949, in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late M. M. and Evelyn Stickler Ross.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Ross, and one sister, Peggy Wooten.

Also preceding her in death was her devoted husband of 47 years, Troy Kidd, on February 1, 2014; one grandson, Mark Kidd; and one granddaughter, Chloe Walker.

Kathy is survived by three sons, Ashley Kidd and Missy of Morehead, Terry Kidd and Missy of Clearfield, and Shawn Kidd and Nancy of Morehead; twin daughters, Mindy Walker and Allen of Olive Hill and Missy Barker and Jimmy of Grahn; eight grandchildren, Matthew Kidd, Baylor Kidd, James Henry, John Henry, Katelyn Baker, Hallie Russell, Caleb Barker, and Ethan Barker, as well as Anisa Hurt and Callen Hurt, whom she looked at as grandchildren; and three great grandchildren,  Freya Kidd, Addisyn Baker, and Dutton Pearson.

Kathy was a hair dresser for more than 30 years.  She loved her work, meeting people and hearing their stories.  She gave her life to the Lord when she was 16 years old and loved the Lord and served Him to the best of her ability.  She loved singing in church and traveling to different churches.  Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved spending time with her family, making special memories, and playing cards with them.  She will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Tod Masters, Brother Jared DeAtley, and Brother Michael Spurlock officiating.   Burial will follow in the Kidd Family Cemetery at Blairs Mill.

Pallbearers:  Matthew Kidd, Ethan Barker, John Ross, John Henry, Quentin Murphy, and Braeden Baker.  Honorary Pallbearer:  Caleb Barker.

Visitation for Kathy Kidd is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
