Karl Marx 'K.M.' Hinton, age 74, of Tunnel Cut Loop, Haldeman, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017, at his residence. Born June 18, 1942, in Haldeman, he was a son of the late George and Susie Jennings Hinton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Marx Hinton; five brothers, Earsel Leroy Hinton, Charles Eugene Hinton, Billy Gallen Hinton, Keith Monroe Hinton, and Barry Phillip Hinton; and one sister, Susie Lynn Hinton. K.M. is survived by two sons, Mark Hinton of Keene, New Hampshire and Jesse Hinton and Lacey of Mount Sterling; three daughters, Sherri Jo Greene and Ewell of Salt Lick, Jennifer Hinton of Cookeville, Tennessee, and Rebecca Maloy of Wake Forest, North Carolina; 7 grandchildren, Tiffany Greene, Travis Greene, Ally Wall, Bryce Maloy, Isaac Maloy, Josie Hinton, and Bruce Hinton; and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Jaxon. Other survivors include one brother, Vaughn Allen Hinton and Glenna of Olive Hill; three sisters, Monnie Sparks of Dayton, Ohio, Marie Kidd of Dayton, Ohio, and Leta Caudill of Hideaway, Texas, as well as nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. K.M. was a self-employed brick mason who enjoyed his work laying block and brick throughout the area. He also enjoyed drag racing at various race tracks, with his racing highlight being the Bristol Dragstrip. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2017, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. At K.M.'s request, no funeral service will be held. Visitation: Wednesday, January 4, 2017, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
