Kaitlyn Elizabeth Fryman, age 17, lovingly known as Katie, went home to be with The Lord on March 4, 2013. Katie was born on March 23, 1995. She is survived by her loving parents, Angela Runner Fryman and Larry Dwayne Fryman and brother Ethan. She also leaves behind her constant companion and special friend Toby, her dog. She was the precious granddaughter of Charlene and 'the late' Tim Runner of Salt Lick, KY, and Peggy and Larry Fryman of Sharpsburg, KY. Katie was also blessed with several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She had a multitude of extended family and friends. Katie had a huge zest for life that was contagious. Her smile brightened the room. Her laughter was infectious. In the darkest days she had a smile and made everyone around her smile as well. Katie attended Rowan County High School. She loved going to school and being with all her special friends there. She was an avid supporter of the Rowan County basketball team. The caring and compassion that Katie received from students and staff is beyond measure. Katie attended Lakeview Community Church. As their wish child, she became an honorary member of Chi Omega sorority at Morehead State University. Katie loved getting dressed up, she loved anything purple and sparkly. She loved the beach and the time she spent there with family and friends. She loved large get togethers, fireworks, laughter, and all the little things in life that are often taken for granted. Katie loved her American Girl dolls. She simply enjoyed life and wanted to make others enjoy it as well. She always thought of others before herself. Katie will be missed and forever remembered by a multitude of family and friends. A scholarship has been established in Katie's honor. Katie's celebration of life will be Friday, March 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers: Troy Hogge, Roy A.
