Julia Faye Buckler Spenlau, age 71, of U.S. 60 East, Morehead, formerly of Kodak, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at her residence.

Born January 14, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Moses and Bertha Buckler Cordle.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, David Elwood Spenlau, who passed away May 10, 2021.

Julia is survived by two sons, Ron Spenlau and wife Teresa of Kodak, Tennessee, and   Christopher Spenlau of Morehead; two brothers, James Cordle of Mansfield, Ohio and John (Juanita) Cordle of Mansfield, Ohio; two sisters, Liz Griffith of Morristown, Tennessee and Mosetta (Darrell) Slusher of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

She was a photographic developer for a church publication company and a member of Dandridge Apostolic Church in Dandridge, Tennessee.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed attending church and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Crank officiating.  Burial will follow in Buckler Cemetery in Carter County.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
