Judy Stamper Dunaway Riggsby, age 71, of Owens Road North, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, at her residence. Born April 7, 1941, in Clearfield, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William Hollie Stamper and Ethel Lambert Stamper McBrayer, she was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Beecher McBrayer. Judy is survived by her husband, Vernon R. Riggsby, whom she married November 5, 1983, by the Rev. Bert McBrayer; two daughters, Michelle S. Dunaway of Boca Raton, Florida, and Stephanie L. Dunaway of Ashland, Kentucky; one brother, John Vernon Stamper and wife Gail of Clearfield, Kentucky; three stepsons, Douglas and Bryan Riggsby, both of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Darby Riggsby of Shelbyville, Kentucky; one stepsister, Vester Manley and husband Ray; one stepbrother, Darrell McBrayer; and six step-grandchildren. Also surviving are two nephews, Sean Dunaway of Ashland, Kentucky, and Stan Stamper of Clearfield, Kentucky, and his daughter Elizabeth of Morehead, Kentucky; one aunt, Bessie Lambert of Clearfield, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Larry Joe Riggsby and his daughter Melodi of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Olen Riggsby and wife Jeannie of Largo, Florida; and her best friends, Jack, Pam, and Gus Bartley of Wallingford, Kentucky. Mrs. Riggsby was a mail carrier out of the Clearfield Post Office for over 20 years. During her time as mail carrier she met and made lots of friends. She often expressed many thanks for the good food provided by Betty Jo Bowman all those years. Mrs. Riggsby was a member of the Bath County First Apostolic Church, loved God's nature and her family and pets. At Mrs. Riggsby's request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
