Obituary

Juanita Campbell Williams, age 91, of Fleming Avenue, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007, at the home of her daughter on Skaggs Road in Morehead. Born February 4, 1916, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Hall Campbell. Her husband, Clester Burns Williams, whom she married on February 23, 1937, passed away July 17, 1979. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Lottie Holland, and four brothers, Fred, James, Lester, and infant Harold Clayton Campbell. She is survived by two daughters, Lois W. Carter of Morehead, Kentucky, and Patty A. Williams, of Clearfield, Kentucky; one grandson, Dr. Alan Bruce Carter and his wife Christy and two great-granddaughters, Sydney and Riley, all of Lexington, Kentucky. Other survivors include six sisters, Libby Bailey of Rising Sun, Indiana, Audrey Booso of Milford, Ohio, Geraldine Decker of Lexington, Kentucky, Mae Workman of Morehead, Kentucky, Freda (James Harold) Caudill of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Flora (Bob) Vickers of Williamsburg, Ohio; two brothers, Allen Campbell and Bill Campbell, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Juanita was a homemaker and well-known seamstress and volunteer. She was a 50-year member of Morehead Chapter 227 Order of the Eastern Star, a former member of St. Claire Auxiliary and volunteer with the Rowan County schools, and RSVP. A longtime member of Morehead First Freewill Baptist Church, she sang in the Choir and was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Elliottville, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Alan Bruce Carter, Clayton Williams, Sanford Bentley, Terry Riddle, Brad Bennington, Doug Jones, and Ted Trent. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Tuesday, May 22, 2007, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at 1 p.m. Interment: Williams Cemetery at Elliottville, KY
