Juanita Maze, age 75, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, formerly of Morehead, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. Born November 23, 1938, in Bath County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Minnie Moppin Maze. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Juanita is survived by three brothers, Emmitt William Maze and Roger Gilmore Maze, both of Mt. Sterling, and Clyde Jefferson Maze of Cincinnati, Ohio; one niece, Dena Gail Saylor of Mt. Sterling; two great nieces, Christine Roland of Stanton, and Delena Gibson of Mt. Sterling; six step nieces; and two aunts, Loretta Bates of North Carolina and Alma Harding of Maysville. Juanita was a retired nurse's aide and personal caregiver. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dave Crouch officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
