Obituary

Juanita Carter Kidd Crawford, age 82, of Meadow Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. Born October 6, 1928, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Thelma Beair Carter. Besides her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Kidd; her second husband, Marland L. Crawford; one son, Daniel Lee Kidd; two sisters, Lenora Engle and Leona Calvert; one brother, Orville -Junior- Carter; and one son-in-law, Keith Monroe Hinton. Juanita is survived by one daughter, Kathy Kidd Hinton of Morehead; three grandchildren, Keith Monroe -RoRo- Hinton, Jr., Drema Hinton Cole, and Pepper Hinton Williams and her husband Anthony, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and five great grandchildren, Autum Tymber Cole, Aspyn Rayn Hinton Williams, Canyon Storm Hinton Williams, Shyann Renee Hinton, and Keith Memphis Hinton. Other survivors include one sister, Carol Johnson and her husband Wendell of Morehead, Kentucky; one niece; and several nephews. Juanita graduated from Morehead High School and received her bachelor and master degrees from Morehead State University. She retired from the Rowan County school system after 30 years of service as a teacher and principal. Juanita was a member of Elliottville Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Wendell Johnson, Sean Johnson, Willard Calvert, Tom Calvert, Jim Engle, and Aaron Roberts. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Sunday, May 29, 2011, from 1-3 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, May 29, 2011, at 3 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
