Juanita Oakley Fultz, age 86, of Open Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 17, 1937, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Estill Robert Oakley and Elsie Dean Oakley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth "Kenny" Fultz on September 7, 2012; two brothers, Curtis Oakley and Adrian Oakley; a sister, Emilie Gladden; a grandson, Kenneth Michael Fultz; a great grandson, Ryan Joe Brown; and a son-in-law, Windell Allen Blevins.

She is survived by three sons, Brent Fultz (Susie) of Carter County, Tony Fultz (Teresa) and David Fultz, all of Morehead; two daughters, Debra Messer (Stanley) and Rita Blevins, all of Morehead; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

Other survivors include three brothers, Hubert Oakley of Mansfield, Ohio, Lloyd Oakley of Morehead, and Benny Oakley of Grahn; one sister, Audress Lawhorn of Morehead; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Haldeman Church of God. Juanita was a former employee of Cowden's Manufacturing Company in Morehead and a bus monitor for the Rowan County School System for 10 years.

Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will live on in the hearts of her family.  She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ron Claytos officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oakley Family Cemetery on Open Fork Road.

Pallbearers:  Joshua Brown, Marcus Brown, Wesley Brown, Travis Fultz, Lincoln Stafford, and Will Salyers.   Honorary pallbearers:  Grant Salyers, Layne Brown, Nicklous Brown, Stanley Messer, Caleb Harris, Britton Stafford, Kenton Stafford, Andrew Salyers, and Nathan Salyers.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
