Joyce Ann King Thomas, age 58, of Nichols Branch, Clearfield, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, at her residence. Born November 19, 1958, in Auburn, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Judith Kay Wood King. Joyce is survived by her husband of 18 years, Gary Mitchell Thomas; five children: Tonya Melton (Donald) of Morehead, Christopher Petre of Owingsville, Christine Marie Petre (Marty Jennings), Crystal Dawn Young (Billy), and Jason Martin (Tasha), all of Clearfield; two step children: Gary Jr. 'Bub'Thomas of Clearfield and Carol Thomas (Emmy) of Diamond, Illinois; 17 grandchildren: Jonathan Easterling; Jordan, Haley, Jentry, Juleese and Jocie Thompson; Skylar Middleton; Ryan, Reyna, and CJ Petre; Kensley Jennings; Andrew and Billy Young; Drake, Blake, Jayden, and Brandi Martin; and two great grandsons, Triton Harmon and Corbin Kidd. Other survivors include one brother, Michael Koble of Butler, Indiana; four sisters: Lisa Muzzillo (Tony) and Wendy Yoder (Ronald), all of Auburn, Indiana, Roberta Clingan (Mike) of Ithaca, Michigan, and Jo Ann Betz of Stuart, Florida. She also leaves behind special caregivers, Loval Lewis and Connie Easterling, who provided Joyce loving care and support. Known as the 'Rock of the Family,' she enjoyed spending time with her husband Gary and all the family. Joyce was a mother with the biggest heart who kept her family together and willingly shared anything she had with others. She was a mom to many and a grandmother to more. She enjoyed crocheting, the great outdoors, camping with family and friends and singing in front of the campfire. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Greg Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.
