Joyce Marie Holland Barker, age 86, of Knapp Avenue, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at her home. Born October 3, 1930, at Water Valley in Graves County, she was a daughter of the late Collin and Myrtle Ruth Elliott Holland. Joyce is survived by her husband of nearly seventy years, John Paul Barker, whom she wed November 15, 1947; two sons, Donald Paul Barker and wife Patricia of Forney, Texas, and Martin John Barker and wife Dianne of Worthington; two daughters, Sherry June Castle of Halifax, Pennsylvania, and Kimberly Ann Barker of Somerset; one sister, Jo Ann Stevens of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was a St. Claire Regional Medical Center employee for 18 years and retired from St. Claire Home Health as supervisor. Joyce was a member of the Clearfield Baptist Church and enjoyed volunteering to help others and shopping. Funerals services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Parr officiating. Burial will follow in New Sill Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
