Joshua Owens Burden, age 35, of Mt. Sterling, passed away at his residence on December 9, 2020.

He was born in Mt. Sterling on July 29, 1985, the son of Edwin and Barbara Moore Burden.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Nathanial Burden and Carter Burden; two sisters, Shelly Sanders (Jake Rogers)  and Melanie Burden (Randy) Mann; maternal grandmother, Jackie Moore; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, as well as a special aunt, Debbie Goodpaster.

Josh was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Howard Junior Moore, and paternal grandparents, James and Helen Burden.

He graduated from Washington County High School in Springfield, was a farmer and enjoyed music and playing his guitar.  He was a member of the Church of God.

Private graveside services will be held Friday, December 11, 2020, at Machpelah Cemetery with Danny Murphy and Jerry Carmichael officiating.  Pallbearers will be Wally Johnson, Wyatt Sanders, Ryan Allison, Randy Moore, Randy Mann, Eric Jones and Larry Ginter.

COVID-19 mandates by the Governor will be observed.
