Joseph Verl Archer, 59, of the Life Care Center, Morehead, Kentucky, formerly of Trenton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008. He was born October 20, 1948, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Frank and Ethel Ward Archer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harlan Barker, Willard Swanigan, and Dan Davis. He is survived by the mother of his children, Barbara Lawson Archer, and two daughters, Dawn Stephens and her husband Ed and Amber Archer, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and five grandchildren, Ed Stephens III, Tiffani Stephens, Bryan Sedam, Kristopher Sedam, and Rebekkah Sedam. Graveside services and burial will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, at the Manning Chapel Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky, with Brother Lonnie Conn officiating. Pallbearers: Ed Stephens, Jerry Bryant, Roy Sparks, Charlie Wise, Harold Zeigler, and Ora Lee Hamm. Visitation is 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
