Jonathan Andrew 'Andy' Busroe passed away on September 8, 2016, in Pippa Passes, Kentucky. He was 48 years old. Andy was born on September 25, 1967, in Lexington, KY. He grew up in Morehead, KY where he attended University Breckinridge School and Rowan County High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Morehead State University and received his Master's Degree in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University. He then went on to complete a Master's Degree in Library Science at the University of Kentucky. He was employed as the Director of the Library at Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, KY where he also taught Political Science classes for 21 years. The library suited Andy well as he was a library of knowledge himself with a variety of interests. He loved to read and to discover new things about politics and history of America and the world. He also loved to travel, often jumping at any opportunity to visit foreign countries and exotic locales. As a gifted photographer, he captured his adventures as far away as Germany and as close as Cave Run. He enjoyed film and art. But most of all, Andy enjoyed being with family and friends, telling tall tales, and laughing. Andy is survived by his parents, Fred M. and Joanna Carter Busroe of Morehead; his brother, Fred M. Busroe, Jr., and his wife Donell of Harlan; his sister, N. Katie Busroe of Morehead; and his niece and nephew, Hannah and Noah Busroe of Harlan. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016, at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Morehead with the Rev. Katherine Redmond officiating.
