Joline Hamm Bentley, age 79, of Clearfield, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016, at her residence. Born June 7, 1937, in Clearfield on Mill Branch Road, she was a daughter of the late Johnny and Flora Amburgey Hamm. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Hamm and Gene Hamm, and one sister, Betty Carpenter. Joline is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Sanford Bentley, whom she married July 30, 1955; two daughters, Debbie (Larry) Law and Janie (Rick) Stone, all of Morehead; two sons, Doug (Elaine) Bentley of Morehead and David (Dianna) Bentley of Clearfield, 12 grandchildren, Derek Law, Courtney Robinson, Emily, Sara, and Kacy Stone, Jeffrey and Marcia Wallace, Brandon, Miranda, Jordan, Mia, and Max Bentley; and 11 great grandchildren, Brianna Wallace, Cade Law, Brady and Jacob Robinson, Connor Bentley, Ashlee, Jarred and Nick Finch, Tucker Cornett, Bentleigh Oney, and Elliott Bentley . Other survivors include three sisters, Virginia (Ivan) Reynolds of Clearfield, Peggy Miller of Anderson, Indiana, and Marie (Richard) Reddecliff of Indian Trail, North Carolina; one brother, Pete (Mary) Hamm of Clearfield; sister-in-law, Margaret Hamm of Clearfield; nieces; nephews; extended family members and friends. Joline enjoyed a variety of employment through the years. She worked at Cowden Manufacturing, was a part-time helper at the Clearfield Elementary School cafeteria; and was one of the first hires at Wal-Mart. She also babysat for a number of families. Joline was a devout member of the First Freewill Baptist Church for more than 57 years. She served as Sunday school teacher and choir member and held offices in the local Ladies Auxiliary and was a field worker for the District Women Active for Christ organization. Joline was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who taught by example. She had great love for her family and put their wants and needs above her own. Her life was a living testimony of God's grace. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Stone and Pastor Brad Bennington officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Jordan Bentley, Brandon Bentley, Derek Law, Max Bentley, Adam Robinson, Theron Reddecliff, Dale Carpenter, Jeffrey Wallace, Jr. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
