Johnny Lee Howard, age 75, of Perkins Street, Morehead, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at St. Claire HealthCare.

Born December 7, 1947, in Osborn, Ohio, he was a son of the late Anderson Howard and Ethel Whitt Howard.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Jeff Lykins; two brothers, Edward Howard and Willard Howard; and one sister, Emma Davis.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Mary Holbrook Howard; a daughter, Laura Stallard of Mt. Sterling, KY; a stepson, Chad E. Carpenter and wife Elizabeth of Florence; two grandchildren, Destini Sparks and Samson Stallard; seven step grandchildren, Haley Lykins and River, Montgomery, Landen, Stella, Evelyn and Calvin Carpenter.  Others to cherish his memory include nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Johnny retired as a manufacturing superintendent after spending most of his career in an industrial environment.  His hobbies included singing and playing the guitar, fishing, attending church, and spending time with family.  He was loved and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cecil Ison and Rev. Saundra Nathanson officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God.
