John F. Sheehan of Morehead died Monday, May 23, 2022, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Edith K. (Robertson) Sheehan; and five children, John (Martha) Sheehan of Grayson, KY; Naomi (Matthew) Daly, of Huntington, WV; David (Leah) Sheehan of Olive Hill, KY; Joseph (Rachel) Sheehan of Berea, KY; and Timothy (Jennifer) Sheehan of Grayson, KY; eight grandsons, and three granddaughters.

John grew up in Preble County, Ohio, and lived most of his adult life in Franklin County, Indiana. He was a retired United States Marine who served in Vietnam. He was a lover of the outdoors and a conservationist, as well as a talented gardener. He loved music of all types and enjoyed spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren whom he adored beyond measure. He had an incredible sense of humor and loved nothing more than coaxing laughter from anyone and everyone. John will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed.
