John Thomas Green, 29, of U.S. 60 West, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at his residence. Born December 7, 1982, in Rowan County, Kentucky, John is survived by his parents, George and Jacqueline Thomas Green of Morehead. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Kendall Trent. In addition to his parents, other survivors include his wife, Catarina D. Baptista Green; four-year-old daughter, Kamryn Alexandria Green; half-brothers, Thomas Eugene Green of Hollywood, California, and Kadin Ray Trent of West Liberty; and half-sister, Tamara Diane Green Bowman of LaGrange, Kentucky. Additional survivors include maternal grandparents, Clyde A. and Charlotte White Thomas of Morehead, Kentucky; maternal great grandmother, Eva Mae Buckner White of Clearfield, Kentucky; paternal grandparents, Roger and Wilma DeHart Trent of Morehead, Kentucky, and Kenneth and Jacqueline Prewitt Green of Leitchfield, Kentucky; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many other relatives and friends. John was a press operator at Precision Resource in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, and had served as a Sergeant in the Kentucky National Guard, Morehead Unit. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed kayaking, camping, hunting, fishing, and motorcycling. John was a devoted father and loving son. A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Greg McMahan officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton-Thomas Cemetery on Veterans Lane with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers: Adam Thomas, Gary McDaniel, Christopher Thomas, Zachary Shelton, Matthew Thomas, and Conner Thomas.
