Joan E. Eckstein Stratman, age 76, of Island Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born January 28, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Effie Crider Eckstein. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Eckstein, and a sister, Phyllis Bentley. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Stratman; six children, Kenneth Stratman, Jr. of Cincinnati, Kelly Schmidt and Sandy Whisman, both of Frankfort, Kendra Edmondson of West Hollywood, Florida, Todd Stratman of Cynthiana, and Donald Brooks of Florence; several grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
