Josephine -Jo- Back Brewer, age 81, of KY Highway 519, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the Elliott Nursing & Rehab Center in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. She was born May 19, 1929, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Ray V. and Oma Back. Her husband of 58 years, Cordell Brewer, passed away February 10, 2006. Mrs. Brewer is survived by one son, Clinton R. Brewer and wife Wilma (Jeanie) of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter Sandy Jenkins and husband Mike of Clearfield, Kentucky; one brother, Austin Back of Bethel, Kentucky; one sister, Sue Stamper of Wellington, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Melissa Polley and Angel Donovan; and two great grandchildren, Jaycee Donovan and Gavin Polley. Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and a member of the Slab Camp Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Dwayne Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bashford Cemetery in Menifee County. Pallbearers will be Mike Polley, Tim Donovan, Calvin Hurt, Gary Santana, Chris Cook, and Chris Kelsey.
