Obituary

Jimmy Ray Parks, age 52, of New Cut Road, Jeffersonville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born January 23, 1960, in Greenup County, Kentucky, a son of the late Narvel Parks, Jr., and Betty May Misner Parks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Parks. He is survived by his wife, Robin Murphy Parks; two daughters, Sharon Parks and her fianc- George Willoughby and Alexia Davis, all of Jeffersonville, Kentucky; four brothers, Jerry Parks and Garvin Parks of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, Curtis Parks of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Sammy Parks of Vanceburg, Kentucky; and six sisters, Linda Manning, Mary Davis, Wanda McGuire, Shirley Roe, Ada Jones, and Vicky Rister, all of Jeffersonville, Kentucky. Jimmy was a salesman for Ale-8-One Bottling Company in Winchester, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at Johnsaw Pentecostal Church with Sammy Parks and Roy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the Lovely Cemetery at Jeffersonville. Pallbearers: John, Jeremiah, Garvin, and Curtis Parks, George Willoughby, Gene Murphy, and Wally Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers: Anthony Davis, Tootie Henry, Roy Murphy, Anthony Jones, and Terry Lawson. Visitation is from 6 - 9 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Johnsaw Pentecostal Church, 657 Strange Road, Jeffersonville, KY Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Thursday, January 3, 2013, 6-9 p.m. Funeral: Friday, January 4, 2013, at 1 p.m. Interment: Lovely Cemetery, Jeffersonville, KY
