Jimmy Ellis Dehart, age 72, of Rodburn Hollow, Morehead, passed away June 4, 2024, at his apartment.

Born November 9, 1951, in Morehead, Jimmy was the son of the late Lloyd Ellis Dehart and Beulah Mae Butler Dehart Caudill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Skaggs of Florida, and one brother, Mike Caudill of Olive Hill.

Jimmy worked various jobs including owning his own carpet cleaning business and working at Morehead State University.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and never met a stranger.  Jimmy has a great sense of humor and loved pranking everyone. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy is survived by three siblings, Sharon Morrison (George), Rhonda Pfannkuchen (Wayne), and Steve Caudill, all of Morehead; two sons, Jamie Dehart and Brent Dehart, both of Harrodsburg; nephews, Frankie Ray Skaggs (Kathy) of Plymouth, Michigan, and Jason Morrison of Morehead; a niece, Samantha Purnell of Morehead; and special cousins, Dawn Baird and Bailee Peterson of Danville, Indiana.

At his request, there will be no services held. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
